This piece was the original, first iteration of “To Love Someone Soft” which suffered a fall and is damaged. There is an approximate 3” portion of the bottom left corner that is missing, and some small scuffs in the painting that are not very noticeable. Please see photos for the damage. This painting was halfway completed, leading to a look into my process, with parts of the charcoal under-drawing showing through.
Because of the damage and the incomplete portions of the painting, I will be selling this as an imperfect study. I would be happy to recommend framing options that would hide the damage (a frame with a circular opening), or you can frame it “as is” if you want a fun, eclectic display of a painting with a story. This painting is still very much worthy of love, and would make for a beautiful addition to a collection (with a fun story behind it).
This painting will come varnished and signed by the artist after 9/17.
