PAINTING THE FELINE FORM IN OILS
COMING SOON — LIVE Saturday, August 8th 10 am - 2 pm CT.
SIGN UP NOW FOR LIVE ACCESS — spots are limited.
Live attendees will be able to ask questions live in chat & get individual email critiques on their painting. Additional information will be sent out via email to live attendees prior to the workshop. Those who purchase the live option will also get access to the recording to re-watch when it’s available on Monday, August 10th.
CRITIQUE INFORMATION —
For those who join at the live option, I will be offering one-on-one email critiques (one painting per person) of a critique of your painting from the workshop! Paintings do not need to be done live during the workshop, and images of your painting you want critiqued can be email to me anytime after they are completed. Whether it’s the next day, week, or month! I will give a written critique, as well as a digital paint-over (with video time lapse). This is also a great option for anyone who wants a critique but cannot attend the live option, or would rather a critique off-camera.
Please send images of your painting once done to contact@tinafigarelli.com to get the critique. Please allow up to 2 weeks for my critique to be sent.
Recording available to purchase to re-watch starting Monday, August 10th.
A four hour intensive workshop all about painting the feline form. We will cover the entire process of painting our beloved kitty friends. from choosing our reference images, to blocking in the drawing, to ensuring we capture the soft, fuzzy, feline spirit in our paintings.
Join artist Tina Figarelli as she goes about painting her cat, Zelda, discussing all about the secrets of painting our adorable feline friends. Topics covered in this online intensive workshop will be drawing, color mixing, mark making, hard and soft edges, details (like whiskers & hidden colors). Learn how to paint your own feline friend, and see how these techniques can also transfer over to painting other subjects (including other animals as well!)
We will be working from reference photos (which will also be provided so students can see what the artist works from), as well as a supply list with all the information on paints, brushes, mediums, panels, and everything the artist uses.
Suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced artists. Some knowledge of basic oil painting recommended. Supply list provided.

Yes! I have allowed a limited number of spots for email critiques in the LIVE option of the workshop. Students can send along a picture of their completed painting (it does NOT have to be done during the workshop, and can be done at a later day!). I will be critiquing each one individually, and provide a written and visual critique with a digital paint over done via Procreate. This is a great way for me to give more critiques to students who want one, and nice if you prefer to not have a on-camera critique!
Please allow up to 2 weeks for all email critiques. You can send them to contact@tinafigarelli.com
Please note, this is only an option for the LIVE access, not the recording.

No! In fact, it may be easier to watch, and even take notes during the workshop. Save everything you learned, and apply it to your own painting the another day.

I have had multiple completely new oil painters take my previous workshops and have a wonderful time! Prior knowledge is not required. I do my best to explain every step in the process, and explain every new, strange, painting “vocab” terms so any beginner can understand easily.
